Keep On The Sunny Side
The Carter Family photographed by Eric Schaal
Poor Valley, VA - 1941
source:life
In the book I mentioned yesterday, the Carter Family joins forces with Coco Chanel to fight vampires.
On a more personal and non-fiction note, Poor Valley is about thirty miles from where my mom grew up.
What's your favorite Carter Family song?
I'm going with "I'm Thinking Tonight of My Blue Eyes". Unless it's "Hello Stranger" or "Wildwood Flower". "No Depression in Heaven" is really good too. Of course, if you like church songs there's always "Can the Circle Be Unbroken" and "Anchored in Love".
It's hard to choose...
