Walt Whitman

I go from bedside to bedside, I sleep close with the other sleepers each
in turn,
I dream in my dream all the dreams of the other dreamers.
And I become the other dreamers.

FEAST

From the FEAST website:

"FEAST is a recurring public dinner designed to use community-driven financial support to democratically fund new and emerging artmakers. At each FEAST, participants will pay a sliding-scale entrance fee for which they will receive supper and a ballot. Diners will vote on a variety of proposed artist projects. At the end of dinner, the artist whose proposal receives the most votes will be awarded funds collected through the entrance fee to produce the project. The work will then be presented during the next FEAST."

This went down for the first time last night and it was an amazing success. A good time was had by all, and Dan Funderburgh went home with the loot.

Here are two posts (with photos) from attendees/volunteers/friends:

I could go on and on about how great it was but instead I'll just encourage you to submit a proposal, volunteer to help, and come to the next one. I don't think the date is set but it will be happening in four to six weeks.

Look For The Union Label

The giant inflatable rats of New York City are a well documented phenomenon.
I really don't have much to add to the conversation except my sincere admiration.
