Hey. I've been thinking about doing a sort of daily postscript like Dennis Cooper does on his blog. Now that I have time I'm going to try it out. Don't worry, I'll keep it short. Speaking of having time, I got my first unemployment payment. Holy shit! Post your beans and rice recipes in the comments please. Or just send some job listings my way. Yikes! Anyway, I'm on house husband duty so last night I cooked up some quinoa with grilled zucchini from 101 Cookbooks. Pretty good, if I do say so myself, and cheap. In other news, I went running this morning and I think I found a stretch to take care of my sore ankle/calf. That's all for now...

Sour Milk: I didn't even think of trying to track down those inversion goggles. I will get on it and report back.

I have this book, but it's not that useful.

You know, Colin, the last winner at FEAST is really into cheap cooking. He was telling me that he and his brother tried to eat and prepare food for less than 50¢ / pound.

THAT sounds insanely disgusting. 50¢ per Lb?!?!

I think they did a lot of bulk buys of staple items like cornmeal, dried beans and such.
