Oh yeah...I got distracted and forgot a couple of things.
First, you should know that there are no Madonna songs on the mix below.
Don't be disappointed, the Madonna post just happened to fall on the same day.

David Michael: I'll try to be a better slacker...I'm working on it.
Sour Milk: Yeah, what does "rustic" mean? That's just what it said on the recipe. Maybe you're supposed to make it with an axe when you're camping?

Early Madonna

Hey. Do you like music? Me too. I've been trying to make a little mix of fun stuff every month. Here's March. There's a pdf in there with the titles etc. I'll put up the others in a little while. There's no theme really, just stuff that I like at the time. Enough to fit on a CD if you're so inclined. March happens to be a little heavy on Source Family bands, and I got a little ska-happy in April. Anyway, let me know what you think.
Not much going on around here. Dealing with ants in the kitchen. Talked to my mom about genealogy research this morning. Going to see some art tonight.

More Calder here and here.
Hey. Not much to report over the last couple of days. Been cooking a lot. Made a "rustic" red cabbage soup last night. Monday night was linguine with mushroom/herb/tomato sauce. Vegetable couscous for lunch. Kelly made blueberry muffins the other day. Other than that, been working on some projects. Saw the new Jessica Stockholder installation at Madison Square Park. Not terribly impressed. Oh, and running...5 miles Monday and 5.5 today.

Portraits

I've been thinking a lot about portraits lately.
Anybody out there feel like modeling?
Nothing too formal...well, actually formal might be kind of fun.

2. "The hand of artist Georgia O'Keeffe holding one of her favorite stones in her palm." John Loengard - Albiquiu, NM - 1968

5. "Poet-Doctor William Carlos Williams sitting in his house." Lisa Larsen - US - 1954
6. "Glamorous full-length portrait of movie actress Hedy Lamarr wearing long gown superimposed (probably unintentionally) over portrait of her." Alfred Eisenstaedt - US - 1938
7. "Bebob king, Dizzy Gillespie, a Mohammedan, is bowing to Mecca from his Hollywood apartment." Allan Grant - Hollywood - 1948 (I think they meant "bebop" not "bebob")
